Kiwi can/Fun week

LI:To have fun.
This week was the last week for kiwi can. We normally call this fun week. Before we started to have fun we went everything that we learned this term. The Them for this term was Respect. The three topic that we learned this term were  Respect for school, Respect for community, and Respect for our environment. Once we did that we had to try and do all the catch phrases to be able to move to the fun part.

Mrs Page and Mrs Piho helped us by doing them for us so we could remember. After they did all of them we had to try and them. After we did that we had tell them what we enjoyed about kiwi can. My favourite thing was everything that we did. Then Mrs Piho asked us what was our favourite  game. Most people said Octopus and invisible touch. But I wanted to play hand soccer. But we only played Ten second tag, Invisible touch, and Octopus.

At the end we did GKQ. I Sulia was the starter then it was me who beat. I was beaten by Alice. The winner was Sione T.

LI:To show respect to our environment
This week for kiwi can we had a new topic which is respect to our environment. Mrs page asked us some things in our environment. Some examples are trees, water, and grass. Then she asks how could we show respect to our environment. Some examples where not to litter, and picking up rubbish even though it is not yours.

Our energizer was called snake. In this game their is one person who has to go on the ground and wriggle and try and tag everyone. Last person standing wins.

Our activity was called Tic Tac Toe. In  this game we had to get into groups of five people, then choose the name for your group. Our teams name was called the "Footballer" . Mr Matt put three chair in three rows. He tells us if we are X's or O's. When he says go we had to sit on one of the chairs and do the sign that you are in. First team that make a group of three wins. Our group won the game.

LI:To show respect for the people  in our community.
This week for kiwi can we had the same theme and the same topic. But this week we talked about what can we do keep our community safe. Some ideas where to don't start a argue, and treat everyone the way you want to be treated.

The energizer was save your legs . In this game we had to form one  big circle and had to stretch our legs and  try to protect it with your strong hand, if the ball goes between your legs you are out.


Our  activity was called hand  soccer. In this  game we had try and get point by using our hands to get the ball through two cones. Our teams name was the All Whites. And our opponent was called the cookie potato. Cookie potato won but we did our best and manged to get 6 points.

LI:To show respect to the people in our community.
This week for kiwi can we had the same theme and topic. It is showing respect to our community. We first talked about who is in our community. Some examples are Emergency service such as police officer,Fire fighters, and Doctor. Then we got to the part where we had tell Mrs Page about how we could show respect to the people in our community. Some idea of showing respect to the librarian is to be quit so they shouldn't come and tell you guys to be quit.

Our energizer was remote. In this we had to  follow the what Mr Mat says some examples are play, Pause,rewind,and fast foreword. If we went the wrong way we were out. I won the first round but not the second round. Our activity was inadvisable touch. In this game we had two teams and when Mr Mat said a number we had to go without getting touched and  reach to the other side.

LI:To show respect for your community.
This week for kiwi can  we  learned to respect people in our community. But first we had to find out a community is. A community is a group of people that are in the same area come together to form a community. Then we had to find out how we could show respect to our community. first Mrs Page asked  what can we do at home to show respect tour house because our house is a part of our community. Then she asked what could we do to show respect in a shop.

Our energizer was called catch me if you can. In this game we had to form a circle. Then make our left palm straight and our right index finger. You had then place you index finger on the person on the right side of you left palm. Once Mr Mat said go we had to take our index finger out of the persons palm before that person catches you finger. At the same time you have to try and catch the person on the left side's finger.

The activate was called ten second tag. In this game we had to go outside.Mr Mat say a persons name and that person has ten second to tag someone if he does then that person has the time remaining to tag some else. If a person was tagged and the tie finished they are out.

Showing respect in school

LI:To show respect in school
This for kiwi can we learned to show respect in the  school. Mr Mat asked us what do we have to do if we have to show respect in the school. He also asked what do we have to do if we want to show respect in class. First  we  did our energizer. The name of the energizer was center ball.In this game we had to form a circle. We were numbed 1 to 4. I was numbed 3. Once Mrs Page calls out one of the numbers we have to run around the circle back to our spot and try and be the first one to get the ball. For example if my number was three then Mrs Page calls my name I have to run around the circle and come to my spot then try to get the ball. After the energizer we sat in four groups.

Mr Mat asked us who follows the school rules. Then he asked who doesn't. Some people didn't put their hands up for anything so Mr mats asked why didn't you guys put your hands up. The said we think we are in the middle. The Mr Mat asked again but this time he also asked who thinks that they are in the middle. After that Mr Mat asked who agrees with the rule?, Who doesn't agree with the rules?. Then he asked what rule do you guys want to be allowed.  The first one was to let us chew gum. Mr Mat asked why. Then we said  because it is yum. Then Mr Mat asked why do you think we don't let people chew gum. I answered because they throw it on the ground and it becomes sticky.

 The other one is that not to wear school uniform. Again Mr Mat asked why do you think of that. I said so the cloth that we wear can show our personality. The activity was Bus stop. In this game we have to make 6 rows. In the rows we have to write Boy name, Girl name, food, Animal,colour, Total. You get a letter then you have to have a boy name that starts with that letter. For example P. The boy name could be Paul, the girl name could be Page, the food can be potato, and the colour can be pink. But if another group has the same Boy name,Girl name,Food,Animal, Or  Colour then you both only get 5 points but if you get different Boy name,Girl name,Food,Animal, or Colour you get 10 points.

LI:To set a goal.
This week for kiwi can we had a new topic and theme. The new topic is goal setting, and the new theme is resilience. Our energiser was called order up. In this game had to  make a vertical line. If Mrs Lilly say to make a line from smallest to biggest we had to do that without talking. Then we sat down in four lines. We discussed about what resilience and goal setting meant. Resilience means if you have something to achieve and you fail you don't give up. Goal setting means something that you want to achieve. At the end we played up and down. This game their was to teams the teams had to choose a goal between 100 and 1000 our group chose 500. We had to get 500 points first if we wanted to win. We did win

LI:To accept the consequences.
This week for kiwi can we focused on accepting or consequences. Our energiser was called snatch that cone. In this game you have to vs some one else. You bot have to take one step back. The when Mrs Lilly says the magic word we had to get the cone. If you go get the cone when she doesn't say the magic word you are out. In this game the magic word was cat. Sandra won. Then sat in a circle we talked about to accept our consciousnesses. First he asked us what was consequences meant. We didn't get it until he gave an example then we got it. Then he asked if we know what are the consequence of doing something like fighting then why do we still do bad things. After that we played hand soccer again but this time it wasn't girls vs boys it was mixed. Team 1 vs team 2. I was in team 2. Team 2 won by 2 points.

LI:To be responsible.
This week for Kiwi can we talked about owning up to something you have done. Our energiser was called Shark attack. Then we talked about owning up to something you have done. For example If I broke the window and Mr O comes in and says "Who broke the window" and I say" Matthew". Matthew will get in trouble instead of me. That was a bad example. But If I said "I did it" Matthew wouldn't been in trouble.We played hand soccer. It was Boys vs Girls. We were numbered 1 to 14. I was number 4. We could only use one hand. Boys won 9-4.Then we had time to do GKQ . This for kiwi can we got twenty five points.

This week for kiwi can we got a new topic it is accountability.  Our theme is integrity. Our energiser was copy me. You play this games by one person that is the captain. The captain  has to get cards from Mrs Lily. Each card stands for one thing for example Jack stands for 15 sec of fortnite dances. At last we have to count how many cards we have got we came second with fifteen cards. Then we talked about honesty. Then we played buddy move. In this came we had to find a buddy. Then we had to follow Mrs Lily's instruction. If she says banana we had to swap were we are. If she says apple we have to go under our buddy. If she says fruit salad we have to swap buddy's.

This week for kiwi can our them and topic were the same. Our energiser was called cat and mouse. In this game one of the person is the mouse and one is the cat. Other people are like the traps for the cat and mouse.After that we talked about role models. Mr Mat asked us how does it feel when you are a role model. After that we played Catwalk. In this game we had walk like the person that Mrs Lily writes down on the board.I had to verse Alayah. We had to act like John Cena. At the end all of us went to act like Bruno Mars It was boys vs girls.

This week for kiwi can we played bang for our energiser. Then we talked about role models. Mrs Lily asked us again who our role models are I said Messi and Ronaldo, because they are good soccer players and I want to be like them. They also show respect most of the time.After a couple of answers Mrs Lily asked us what do our role models do to be a role model. The after all of that she asked us what we could do to be good role models. Our lesson was called toothy fruity. If Mr Matts said apple we had to hop forward if he said orange we had to hop backwards bu if Mr Matt said banana we had turn around.

LI:To be a role model.
This week for Kiwi can we had a new topic is is being a good role model. Our theme is still the same (integrity). Our energiser was called doggy doggy, in this game one person has to wear a blind fold so they can't see. That persons job is to protect the pen. The other people jobs is to try and get the pen without being hit. Then we talked about role models. First we talked about what role model means to us. Then we had to name some of our role models I named "Messi and Ronaldo. Then we went to our activity, our activity was called who is missing. In this we had to find out who was missing out of our class.

LI: To learn about conflict resolution. This week at kiwi can it was our last kiwi can session for term one. We had the option of to watch a movie or play games. We got to vote.People wanted to play games. So we played games. Then we voted what inside game we wanted to play. We chose The ball game that you had to get the ball through the other persons legs, We also chose infinity tag. But before we got to ply we had to answer three questions in order to play the games.If we got them wrong we would have to watch Mr Matt drinking coffee.We got them all right. For the first game we had to choose a person to be competing for our teams and we had to pull a hula hoop in order to touch the cone by your group to get a point. The we played the ball game where we had to make a big circle. We had to get it through someone in the circles leg to get them out.Who ever lost had to join another game of that but with the people that were out.Then we came back to class.

LI:To learn what to do when some is upset.
This week LS1 group B went to kiwi can. This week we have a new topic, conflict resolution.Conflict means argument, and resolutions  means solving problem. Our energiser was 21. We play this game by trowing a ball around a circle and while we are doing that everyone else were counting up to 21. When we reach 21 the person with the ball is out.Our lesson was called guess the emotions. We went into 4 groups the person in the fronts of the group has to guess the emotions. The other people in the group can help by acting it out. The emotion is written on the bored the person in front is not allowed to see the bored.You were not allowed to say it. Last we played GKQ. Our buzzer was hello.

LI:To learn to try everything.
This week for kiwi can our energiser was to called rock paper scissors. So in this game we had to find a partner and play rock paper scissors the loser had to go in the back and be cheering the the winner. And if your partner that won you lost to a another person we both have to go in the back of his or her back and cheer him or her. Our lesson was about trying everything. We had to talk about why it is good to try everything and why it bad.The game we played for our lesson was called charades. In this game we had to go in group one or two or three I was in group two.We had to chose one person from your group first I went up it was only a practice round. The point of the game was to try everything no matter how hard it is. Lastly we had to do GKQ we went into four groups. Ever group had a different buzzer.

LI:To learn what a good and bad leader is

This week  For kiwi can we had a new topic it was leadership.Leader means when a person in your team or group. The person that tells you what to do and encouraging you. We looked at what a bad and a good leader is.Our energiser was called hammer. We had to find a partner.With your hands you had to make a fist and put them on top of one and a another. When Miss Lilly said  up if she said up the the persons fist that is at the bottom can goon the top and if she said down the person fist on the top  has to  put I at the bottom and if she says hammer! the person fist at the top had to smash there fist on top of the other persons fist if the person that was successful would find another partner and play with him or he.or lesson was called copy me in copy me we had to make three groups the person in the front was the leader. Miss Lily, Mr Mat, Mr O. Gave each group the same action then they tapped the person in front of them on there should and showed the action the team that at the end got the move right had won.

LI:To encourage people

This term for kiwi can our topic is fairness and fair play. Today we talked about encouraging people.first Mrs Lilly asked us what does encouragement mean i said it means supporting  people and making them believe in themselves. Then Mr Mat told what our energiser our was about tigers and buffaloes  so Mr Mat had to point towards you and you had to do the action of that animal and sound.I lesson game was called clap hop the point of the game was to not get tagged  by the taggers but we had to hop when Mr Mat clapped.
