This week a read Captain underpants and the preposterous plight of purple potty people. This book is about George and Harold time travels into a universe were the teachers are nice. And the cafetiere serves Delicious food.

Idioms

LI:To learn a whole bunch of new idioms.
This week for reading we had to form into a group of three from another group. For our must we had to try and get the most idioms by the end of the week. In my group we had Aftaia and Sione T. We managed to get 15 points. But that wasn't enough to come first place.

This week I read a book about captain underpants and the  booger boy. In this book a boy named Melvin turns himself into a supper booger boy.

Find, draw, act, and animate

LI: to learn a whole bunch of new words.
 This week for reading we learned new words such as Thwart and Fetid. We did this so our vocabulary would we better than it is know. Before we got into our real must do we had four example, the examples where Thwart, Fetid, Encroach, and Opulent. The meaning of Thwart is not letting someone from accomplishing something. Fetid meaning something that smells bad. Encroach means taking someones land from them. Opulent means someone who is wealthy and wants to show people that he/she is wealthy. For this must do we had to work in a group of three. I worked with Matthew and Vayan. After we finished finding the meaning of those words we had to go on a website that had more words we could learn.

Jack stalwart

LI:To read a book.
This week I read a book called The cap of the crown jewels Great Britain Jack Stalwart. This book is a about a boy name Jack who works for a spy company to help people around the world.

Thoughts and emotions inference

LI:To infer the thoughts and emotions of characters.
This week for reading we had to infer the characters thoughts and emotions. Inferring is to use hints from the author to find out more about the book/short film. Before we started we watched a short film. That we used to infer the character thought and emotion in that short film. After that we had to go in our reading groups and make inferences in our groups. Then make three more inferences by our self.

We had to take a screenshot of the part of the film that we want to infer about. We also had to copy the link of the time that we inferred to our DLO's.

LI:To read a book.
This week I read a book named "Worlds fastest cars in the world". This book gives me lots of facts. Like did  you know in 2015 Toyota Camry was the most popular factory-made car in the United states. It can get up to speed nearly 130 miles (290 kilometres) per hour. That is about half the speed of the fastest super cars,  the venom GT.

What can you tell

LI:To infer.
This week we had to complete a  google slide with photo. We had to look very close and spot things that the author is not telling you. We had to work in pairs. My partner is Spelman.  We had to give each other  idea's, we had to work in pairs because some people need help.

This week I read a book about a boy named stink got money from his dad because he  did well in his test at school came to a store and finds  something awesome named inter galactic Jawbreaker. But his sister  want his to by her self candy.

Rhymes

LI: to learn about rhymes from Dr Seuss books
We made slide of Rhymes, and explaining them. This was a group activity. In my group was Xavier, Oscar, and Chris. In our slide we wrote what a rhyme is and tell the type of rhymes such as a Assonance, a Consonance,End Rhyme, and a Alliteration. We had to explain all for of them including examples of them from a Dr Seuss books.

Author study

LI:To study on an Author
This week is reading week so we did a study on a creative author name Dr suess(Toreador suess Geisel). He is the author book such as Cat and the hat, and green eggs and ham. He also made a movie about the cat and the Hat. In this study we had include when he was born, where he was born, and what year he was born in.

This week I read the same book as last week but the other part this weeks one is about Matt and Jayden scoring the first point. Jayden's mother is in the Hospital.

This week I read Extra time this book is about a boy named Matt who is very good at soccer. Everyone in town wants to challenge Matt. And Matt accepts all of the challenges.

Conflict resolution

LI:To analyse the story and find the conflict resolution.
This week for reading we had to read a story named U-Turn. We had to find the conflict and resolution. We could do that by making a story interactive story board. In this we had to  ask question and the audience has to try and answer the question .

Man and sea quiz

This week for reading we had to make a quiz about the book that we read about our group Harry Vader was reading  a book named Man and Sea. I used Kahoot to make my quiz. Here is a link to the pin is 1396699.

inferring

LI:To infer information from a text.
This week for reading we are still focusing on inferring. But this week every group has their own book to infer about. Then we had to make a comic strip about what we inferred. To help us record our inferences and to help us record the evidence we used a google doc.  Our group is read a book called Man and the sea.

How our muscles get tired?

 LI: to self monitor understanding of words and phrases.LI: to research the meaning of unknown words and phrases.The text you will be reading is Why Do Our Muscles Get Tired? Read until page 4. As you read enter words that you don’t understand or words you think other people might not understand. Enter the words in the following. This we for reading we read a article about why our muscles get tired. Our focus was to self monitor to understand the text that we are reading. We had to record a flip grid explaining what we read about and three words that we don't understand.

LI:To find out new things about the world.
This week for current events I read a article about Real Madrid against Liverpool. The man of the match was Gareth Bale. Because he scored two great goals that made his team win their third title in a row.

site reveiw

LI:To sumerise a text useing keywords. 
This week for reading we had to read a explantion on a site that was called national geographic kids. The explanatation explained what the organs in the digestive system do. We had to read this and get the keywords from it. Then useing those keywords we had to sumerise the site.

LI:To identify keyword from a text. This week for reading we had to do another finding keywords task. But this time with a different text. Maleficent and Thor did the article about super senses, and Percy Jackson and Harry Vader were doing counting kakahi. Kakahi is a type of clam. Kakahi have a in and out siphon. The in siphon sucks any food around it in the water and then that goes to the palps the papls sort out the food and waste then that goes out of the kakahi body from the out siphon.
