WALT explain the meaning of scientific words (in my own words)


Take a screenshot of the video where it talks about that particular word.

Write 20 words (or more) to explain what is happening in the picture and what the word means.
Note - you might need to google the word to help you understand it.

A continent is the name for a really big piece of land. A continent is bigger than a country, and even has lots of different counties inside it.
There are 7 contients on Earth. They are called
  1. Antartica
  2. India
  3. Australia
  4. North America
  5. South America
  6. Europe/Asia
  7. Africa.
Geologist
Geology is the study of the Earth, the materials of which it is made, the structure of those materials, and the processes acting upon them. It includes the study of organisms that have inhabited our planet
Tectonic plates
relating to the structure of the earth's crust
Mantle
a loose sleeveless cloak or shawl, worn especially by women
Converging currents
Converging currents
conservative
averse to change or innovation and holding traditional values
Subduction
the sideways and downward movement of the edge of a plate of the earth's crust into the mantle beneath another plate


Explain what is happening in this picture (50 words)

If two plates come together  one goes under it and one goes up our country's move around but most Geo latest didn’t believe that it moves until  the 1960 Montanan evidence made it clear that the earth's broken up into fragments and those fragments are named tic tomick plates  we track them from space Screen Shot 2016-12-02 at 7.11.44 PM.png
