Khabali

LI:To make my favourite food.
For this activity we had to name our favourite food and write how do we make it. My favourite food is Khabali. Khabali is a Afghani food.
Recipe:
 1 Cup Basmati rice (soaked for an hour)  100 Gram Ghee or cooking oil
1 Cup Onion, finely chopped
2 Tomatoes, chopped
1 Cup Curd
1/2 Cup Fresh pomegranate seeds

30 Gram Green chilli
1/2 Cup Kabuli channa (parboiled with salt)
2 Tbsp Onion, fried
3 Whole red chilli
1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
2 Brown cardamom
5 Green cardamom
1/2 tsp Black peppercorn
1 tsp Salt
2 Green chilllies, chopped
4 Cloves
2 Cinnamon sticks
2 Mace
4 Bay leaves
1 tsp Coriander powder
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

    Reading your recipe for khabali made me really hungry! I can see why you have it as your favourite food. I tried it for the first time the other day and it was so yummy!

    Is it easy to make? There are heaps of ingredients and it looks like it would take a long time to cook. What steps do you need to follow to make sure it turns out delicious.

    My favorite Afghani food is bolani. I could eat a huge plate of them! What are some of your other favourite foods that your family make?

    All the talk about food has made me hungry. Lucky it is almost my lunch time!

    That food image looks really good. I decided to with Mash potatoes because that is what my family usually makes. What is your favorite drink or smoothie. My favorite smoothie is Strawberry and my favorite drink is MountIn drew.
